Ngāi Tahu Education Strategy
In April 2002, Ngāi Tahu Development Corporation – the forerunner to Toitū te Iwi - launched Te Reo and Education strategies in the absence of a corporate-wide strategy development process. They reflected what the organisation aimed to achieve in the following five years to help realise our 25-year vision.
Four years later, the Board of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu formally adopted a Ngāi Tahu Education strategy that built on the work done over the intervening years. This strategy will guide Ngāi Tahu education's activities over the next five years. The emphasis will be on integrating education, te reo and whānau empowerment strategies.
