Ngai Tūāhuriri
Tutehounuku Korako
Tutehounuku (Nuk) was appointed the Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu Representative for Ngāi Tūāhuriri in December 2009.
Nuk has had extensive experience with major tourism companies based in the United Kingdom and East & Western Europe. Returning to New Zealand in 2002 he setup a major retail travel business including a cultural tourism consultancy company. He is a representative on the governance body of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu for Te Ngāi Tūāhuriri Rūnanga, and the tribe's Ngāi Tahu Holdings Corporation board, a member of the board for Mawhera Incorporation (West Coast) and a member of the NZ Institute of Directors. He also has positions on three philanthropic boards, the Rod Donald Environmental Trust, Cholmondeley Children's Home and Rāpaki o Te Rakiwhakaputa, a whānau trusteeship based at the ancestral community where he resides on Lyttelton Harbour, near Christchurch.
